Architectural Joinery

This staircase is fabricated in solid beech, revolving around 40mm and 10mm detailing. Construction in the ‘sawtooth style’, where the edge of the tread and riser can be seen. The shadow gap provides a break in the flat plains of timber into the treads before rising up on the elegant square spindles to the handrail of the same 40mm x 40mm dimension. This gap also perfectly compliments the desk unit that was made and installed in the upstairs office.

Working with the client and architects, full technical drawings of the staircase were produced and reviewed, ensuring the details and design integrity were upheld.

  • Working closely with architects and interior designers to develop furniture and structural joinery concepts into full technical design packs for production, ensures the design integrity is not compromised while providing a fully functional and safe solution.

  • Solid beech hardwood.

  • Fully machined and jointed in our South London workshop. The staircase was pre-assembled and then dismantled prior to site installation.

  • Clear coat in Osmo Raw Wax oil.
